Welcome to the North West School of Radiology and NW Radiology Academy.

The site provides you with all the information you will need for your first year of training with details of teaching programs and Academy Placement.

A bit of background.

The North West School of Radiology was formed in 2017 through the merging of two very successful radiology schemes; Manchester and Mersey. The school has over 160 trainees and a yearly intake of up to 33 trainees.

In 2018 NWSOR introduced the NW Radiology Academy with a full time 4 month classroom based training rotation for first year trainees. The rotation provides teaching programs in core radiology knowledge, US skills and preparation for FRCR1a examination.

In 2019 NWSOR partnered with Edge Hill University to create the Radiology Academy which is located in the Clinical Skills and Simulation Centre at the University. This has been a very exciting and successful development enabling the delivery of a comprehensive full time program of radiology training using the state of the art facility within the University.
