Programme
The Academy Teaching takes place 4 days a week (excluding Wednesdays) and is face to face at Edge Hill University unless otherwise stated in the timetable. Trainees are released each Wednesday to attend the online Anatomy and Physics Programs. ( please see anatomy/ physics calendars for session information)

Clinical Supervisor & Appraisals
Dr Haseeb Chaudhary is the assigned clinical supervisor during the ST1 Academy placement and is the equivalent to a Trust Specialty Training Lead.
Dr Chaudhary conducts your start and end of placement appraisals which normally takes place within a few weeks of starting at the Academy and also supports pastoral needs during the placement.
Please ensure you have attached Dr Chaudhary as your CS and you complete the correct sections on the Kaizen eportfolio forms for 'CR Clinical Supervisor' appraisals.

Welcome to the Academy Induction
This will take place on the first Thursday of rotation and will be delivered by the Academy TSTL and Academy Programme Officer . For details see the ST1 Academy Timetable found on the 'Academy Year 2023-24' Google calendar.
Work based placed assessments
Cases reviewed during this placement should be added to your logbook and during the placement you will undertake a number of formal WBPA assessments required for your e-portfolio.
Access to Online Content
You will need to activate your NWSOR account to access online content. This is the same platform used for the Anatomy and Physics online course.

Parking Permits
Edge Hill University has a strict parking policy. All ST1 Academy trainees will be issued a parking permit and will be contacted when commencing in training to obtain car registration information. Permits must be displayed in vehicles and parked in the correct car park. If you need accessibility parking, please speak with the Academy team: england.radiologyacademy.nw@nhs.net
