All Study Leave requests need to be made via Accent: https://accent.hicom.co.uk/Portal/Live/Web/
Your application should have:
Your study leave/budget section from your Academic Year Log Book
A copy of your teaching attendance log book (from Aug 2025)
If you receive an enhanced study budget please detail this clearly on your applications

Diagnostic Neuro-Radiology :
BSNR trainee study days. Currently it is held once every year jointly with the BSNR Annual Conference (usually around October every year).
BSNR Neuro On-call course, unless already done at ST1 to ST3
Attend at least one international conference (e.g. ESNR or ASNR) to present a paper
Optional - ESNR Diagnostic Neuroradiology course and exam leading to European Diploma in Neuroradiology (EDiNR). This is a course consists of 4 modules (two modules each year) completed over 2 years. Very comprehensive but quite expensive as well.
The Oxford Clinical Neuroimaging Course.
Interventional Neuro Radiology:
ECMINT – intense and quite comprehensive course consisting of 4 modules to be completed over 2 years. Trainees are strongly recommended to attend this but is quite expensive.
Diagnostic courses and meetings: 1, 2 and 3 as above (under “For DNR trainees”)
There is a plethora of industry sponsored courses and workshops in Neurointervention - NOT mandatory and left at the discretion of the ES to decide if the trainee should attend these (trainees usually don’t have to pay any course fee but will need to apply for study leave).
Interventional Radiology:
Courses provided by CIRSE, SIR, BSIR (and IOUK) including the CIRSE all access pass.
There is a plethora of industry sponsored courses and workshops - NOT mandatory and left at the discretion of the ES to decide if the trainee should attend these (trainees usually don’t have to pay any course fee but will need to apply for study leave).
