We are excited to announce that registration is now open for the 2024 Trainee Conference! This year's conference will be led by a trainee committee, ensuring a programme tailored to meet the needs and interests of trainees within the region.

What to Expect:

Present Your Work: Showcase your research, audits, and interesting cases to your peers. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable feedback and share your expertise. Please see FAQ Below for Presentation Info.
Networking: Connect with colleagues from across the region, fostering professional relationships that will benefit you throughout your career.

Important Information:

Compulsory Training Activity: The School has endorsed this conference as a compulsory training activity. Your departments/TSTLs should not schedule you to work on the day of the conference.
Registration: Please register for the event using the form provided on the right-hand side. Ensure you use your NWSOR email address to access the form.
Dietary Requirements: If you selected no dietary requirements it will be assumed you are happy with meat option. All meat options will be Halal - so you don't need to specify. Veggie/Vegan/Specific Requests will be catered only to those who have selected.
Can't Attend? If you are unable to attend, please still complete the registration form and select your reasons. You can also submit a poster presentation and nominate your Trainer of the Year.
Changes in Attendance: If your plans change and you can no longer attend, please email the team at england.radiology.nw@nhs.net with your reasons. We understand that circumstances may change, but please keep us informed.
No Show Policy: In the event of a no-show, your absence will be flagged to your Educational Supervisor (ES) and TSTL. An explanation will be required, as non-attendance is considered a Lead Employer issue.
Feedback: After the event you will need to complete feedback to allow the event to continuously improve. On completion of feedback, your attendance certificate will be generated and should be uploaded to your ARCP zip file as evidence of your attendance.

FAQs regarding poster and oral presentations

When will I find out if I have been accepted?

ASAP after registration closes on 3rd May. Abstracts are kindly being selected by consultant colleagues. Trainees will be informed ASAP to let them know their abstract has been accepted.

I have already submitted an e-poster, do I need to change this for the NWSOR education day?

Yes. Unfortunately the venue does no have the facilities, and we don’t have the budget to facilitate e-posters. Please have your poster A1 size (portrait or landscape).

How do I get my poster printed?

We will arrange for your poster to be printed. NWSOR are kindly funding the printing for the event

When do I need my poster ready by?

You must submit your poster formatted ready to be printed in A1 by Tuesday 14th May 2024. This is to allow the poster printing team to get your poster to the printer in time.

What do I need to do for my oral presentation?

Please create a PowerPoint presentation. Each oral presentation slot is 10 minutes (7 minutes presentation, 3 minutes questions). Strict timings will be adhered to on the day. Please submit this by Sunday 19th May 1pm to allow us to have the posters ready for the day.

Who do I send my poster/oral presentation to?
