Mersey & West Lancs NHS Trust - Lead Employer
All postgraduate doctors in training are employed by Mersey & West Lancashire NHS Trust as the Lead Employer Organisation (LEO). Please complete all pre-employment checks when requested.
Trainees should follow the Policies & Procedures of the LEO not their Trust/Academy site. All information on payroll, pensions, leave policies & contractual requirements can be found at the Lead Employer Shared Services Site: https://leademployer.merseywestlancs.nhs.uk/
If you require Health & Wellbeing Support please speak with your TSTL who can arrange a referral via Cohort. You can also self refer.
RCR
All new trainees must enroll with the Royal College of Radiologists. If you have not already done so, please enroll as soon as possible. You need this to set up your ePortfolio RISR: www.rcr.ac.uk/clinical-radiology/specialty-training
Please register with the RCR who will provide further details of College Welcome Days. If you have been allocated an Academy block from August your attendance (either in person or virtually) is mandatory and no teaching will be scheduled on that day. It is strongly advised all ST1 trainees attend this informative day. Please follow link below for more information:
Activate NWSOR Account
Prior to starting in August you will be sent an NWSOR account to the email provided at recruitment or on your Form R. Please ensure you set this account and password up promptly on receiving this. This account will be active for your entire training. All teaching material, calendars and announcements related to teaching will be sent on this account only.
Login to your google @nwsor.co.uk account
Ensure you accept the Google calendars and Classrooms relevant to your teaching programmes.
If you don’t have access please contact radiologyacademy.nw@hee.nhs.uk and one of the team can reset passwords.
You can also link your @nwsor account to your preferred email so you don't miss any key communications - Helpful Tips can be found here: NWSOR account
Also add Radiology.NW@hee.nhs.uk & Radiologyacademy.nw@hee.nhs.uk to your safe senders to avoid important emails being filtered to junk folders.
